About the Baker.

My name is Linda and my passion for baking and cake decorating started by a snarky remark to my mom, who was a cake decorator. She was decorating a wedding cake and had been piping an elaborated design while being a bit fatigued with tired hands.

I, being the snarky 16-year old that I was, casually said "wow, this side is not looking as as good as the other side" to which she said, "if you can do better then you do it!" I grabbed her piping bag with no idea of what I was doing or getting myself into. She had her spatula in hand, ready to remove whatever mess I made and to both of our surprise, my piping was looking as good, if not better than hers. The look on her face and her words to follow were remarkable. Next thing I knew, I was enrolled into Wilson Cake Decorating Class with her instructor. I completed 1 year of Wilson courses and then decided that I didn't need them any more (wrong).

From the age of 16 to 20, I baked and decorated cakes as often as I could for anyone that wanted one. Back then, all of my cakes were boxed cake mixes and good old fashion American Buttercream frosting. Simple cakes and designs, nothing too fancy. From my 20s to my early 40s I stopped decorating and started to explore baking. I started with cheesecakes, pies, muffins, and anything that didn't require a piping bag.

I then returned to decorating in 2009 when my family and I started fostering 2 boys. I wanted to make sure they, along with my own children, had a special cake every year and I have made every effort to give them something made from the heart. Since then I have returned to learning new techniques, new recipes, and new designs.

Now, I want to share my special treats and goodies with more than family and friends. I'm inviting you into my kitchen where I make wonderful candies, cupcakes, cookies and cakes for your enjoyment.

EZ Sweets Creations is dedicated to my late parents, Esther and Zenon Jaime. They have inspired the name of EZ Sweets Creations and continue to inspire me to keep baking and pursue my passion.
